Otters have specialized fur. They primarily eat fish and sometimes frogs, crayfish and crabs. Some species are solitary, others live in groups.
Sea Otters are the only otter species living in the water, others only enter water to hunt, travel or play. They grow to 2.5-5 ft (1-1.5 meters) and weigh up to 65 lb (30 kg).
Northern River Otters were hunted for fur in North America in 1800s. They grow to 3 feet (1 meter) in length and weigh 10-30 lb (5-15kg).
