Mesa: elev ft wiki - "All Used Up" or "The Departed Ones" [Hohokam]
The Hohokam people built the original 16 mile canal system across the desert, evolving into hundreds of miles of canals and supporting agriculture across 110,000 acres.
Mesa was founded in 1878 by Latter-day Saint (LDS or Mormon) pioneers, presently still with one-tenth Mormon population.
Mesa Arizona Temple is one of the oldest LDS temples. Every year from November 28 to December 31, Mesa Temple Garden Christmas Lights Display brings thousands of visitors to its 750,000 lights show.
