| Hiking: - 8 mile, 2,007 ft descend - into a canyon to Supai (elev 3,187 ft) From the parking lot of Hualapai Hilltop , the Havasupai Trail drops 500 ft in the first mile of switchbacks, and another 700 ft in the following mile of more gradual slope, to reach the bottom of the Havasu Canyon. The following 6 miles are an additional elevation drop of 800 ft. Havasu Falls are an extra 2 miles away.While still on the land of Havasupai Indians, Hualapai Indian land starts 5 miles along Highway 18. Hiking trips, Mule luggage transport, and 5 minute Helicopter rides -- to Supai (village) -- start here. |
